Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Travel Technology Manager with extensive agency operations experience. With this great opportunity, this person will oversee:

 New client and technical implementations  Assist with established customer deliverables; commercial and functional  Insure consistent and standard process and deliverables  Act on behalf of Client Technology Leadership team as needed and directed  Review projects resource requirements and balance responsibilities and deliverables as necessary  Create, maintain and report project status for Leadership team


As we grow, you will lead a team that will execute and maintain the technology tools. Until that time, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of our technology products and tools. The role requires close collaboration with VP of Operations, Automation and technical teams to produce scripted functions and adoption, which will satisfy complex business requirements.
Reports to the VP of Automation and can be based virtually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Gather and document business requirements to ensure the delivered functionality meets the needs of the client, end-user and downstream processes  Design, develop and test: Sabre scripts, Compleat mid-office routines, Online Booking tool (OBT) customer setup and additional technology products to meet the documented requirements  Recommend best practices for implementation of internal and customer facing technology products as well as script & mid-office routine package deployment  Collaborate with other teams to ensure proper interfacing with other products and processes while considering downline impact  Internal and external technical support liaison  Collaborate with Training Department on producing high-quality end-user documentation and training on script, mid-office routines, OBT usability & technology product functionality  Troubleshoot reported script, mid-office, OBT & technology products issues and communicate applicable resolutions and timelines  Keep management apprised of any potential roadblocks that could impact agency or customer implementation dates  Ability to think abstractly, but have logical problem-solving skills  Ability to turn business requirements into developed solutions  Ability to work in a dynamic environment while juggling multiple priorities
Qualifications
 Expert knowledge of Sabre GDS (minimum of 5-8 years)  Thorough understanding of Sabre Red platform and native Sabre functionality  Experience with mid-office tools (i.e. Compleat or iQCX)  Experience with travel technology product implementation (client and/or internal)  Experience with design, development and deployment of technology tools  Expert OBT configuration experience. Concur preferred  Good understanding of the development best practices, process and cycle  Effective communication skills (oral, written & presentation)  Ability to travel domestically & internationally on as needed basis  Experience with workflow design in the travel industry  Ability to convert abstract ideas into functional process  Must be process-driven with a focus on streamlining workflow, increasing efficiency  Ability to work with minimal supervision  Experience using Eclipse IDE to write Sabre Scripts is a plus  TRAMS back-office knowledge is a plus  Experience with Sabre App development is a plus  Developer Toolkit & SRW runtime services to automate aspects of agent workflow is a plus
