Job Description

Manages the travel operations and employees for Acendas Travel’s Mission Control/Support department. Responsible for overall operations, including the performance and motivation of employees, quality of service delivery, contractual obligations, client retention, and technology implementation. • Meets/exceeds customer expectations by managing Mission Control customer service levels related to telephone, quality, and productivity and by providing value-added solutions. • Provides for the proper staffing and servicing of all operations within responsibility. • Executes or directs the completion of personnel recruiting, hiring, development, motivation and separation. Exercises hiring and firing authority. • Conducts performance reviews for direct reports. • Maintains knowledge of Acendas Travel technologies, and applies knowledge to increase operational efficiencies. • Ensures proper human resources and company processes and policies are followed. • Knowledge of operations and travel industry. • Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis. • Knowledge of contract management. • Knowledge of corporate travel technology products. • Solid problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently, developing strategies and action plans and implementing goals and objectives. • Ability to respond to change. • Ability to embrace diversity. • Ability to select, motivate, coach and develop staff; resolve employee relations issues; fosters effective teamwork. • Strong analytical skills. • Professional manner and appearance. • Effective written, oral and presentation skills. • Effective organizational and time management skills. • High school degree and 1-2 years of college. • Minimum of five (5) years’ corporate travel experience. • Minimum of 2-3 years’ managerial experience. • Prior budget and cost management experience preferred. • Knowledge of MS Office and email software. • Proficiency in specified reservation system(s). • Thorough knowledge of travel agency operations. • Thorough knowledge of corporate travel technology is preferred. • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed and to maintain team staffing for extended hours of operation. • High school degree and 1-2 years of college. • Minimum of five (5) years’ corporate travel experience. • Minimum of 2-3 years’ managerial experience. • Prior budget and cost management experience preferred. • Knowledge of MS Office and email software. • Proficiency in specified reservation system(s). • Thorough knowledge of travel agency operations. • Thorough knowledge of corporate travel technology is preferred. • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed and to maintain team staffing for extended hours of operation.
