This is a privately held rental car company with subsidiaries that include National Car Rental, PhillyCar Share and Alamo Rent A Car. The company also sells used cars, has a commercial truck rental operation and manages commercial fleets. Enterprise was number 21 on the Forbes "Largest Private Companies in America" list in 2008. It has over 5400 retail stores and over 400 airport locations throughout the country. Interestingly, Enterprise accounts for seven percent of all new car sales in the US.
