Job Description

The main role of a Travel Consultant is to build relationships and understand the needs of the clients while delivering a ‘high-touch’ service.

Meet or exceed established sales goals
Design custom tailor made itineraries in consultation with guests and Travel Agents 

Provide a dedicated service to clients

A desire to exceed the client expectation always

To demonstrate proactive thinking when providing travel solutions

Provide added value to clients through specialist supplier relationships

Exceptional telephone communication with timed responses / call back

Quality Control across all aspects of our procedures and processes

Able to provide cost effective solutions across all aspects of travel

To comply with the company policies and guidelines at all times

To apply creative air fare / rail fare ticketing principles when applicable, for example split or combination ticketing

To recommend and procure ancillary products as required

To meet all deadlines as required, internally or client driven



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on telephone sales
    • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to multi task
    • Strong geographic, destination, cultural and world affairs knowledge
    • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft Office) and ability to quickly master new technologies
    • Good judgment and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent inter-personal skills
    • Must be able to read/write/speak in English



  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • High School diploma required
    • Two years travel industry experience preferred
    • Sales experience preferred
    • Knowledge of world geography preferred


  • Evening, weekend and approved overtime may be required
    • International travel may be required (and maintain a current passport)
