Travel department assists and books travel for CIC Group, Inc. employees and all their subsidiaries. This department is able to control costs associated with travel by recommending booking alternate flights or different routings when a cost saving is involved.
Maintains client profiles, ensuring special requests, corporate discounts and reward program information, such as frequent flyer numbers, hotel discounts and traveler preferences are included. Know and properly uses: airline terminology, codes, GDS formats, fare basis, airline rules and tariffs, resource guides, and industry contacts.
Required skills or abilities
Candidate must have a proven minimum 3 years’ experience as a Corporate Travel Consultant arranging complete domestic and international travel itineraries, to include air, car, and hotel and airport transfer modes. Must have knowledge of Passport/Visa requirements for International travel. Successful candidate must have effective and professional oral and written communication skills. Must ensure travel needs are met, adhering to established travel parameters, and customer satisfaction exceeds expectations. Candidate must possess and excel beyond a basic knowledge, in a variety of PC-related skills and/or software, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge and experience with corporate travel technologies with a minimum 3 years GDS( SABRE) is mandatory. Must be able to adapt in a challenging and changing environment. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
High school education and/or Technical or vocational school education. Travel school or training is helpful but not necessary.
3 to 5 years. GDS and travel background mandatory. Strong problems solving/critical thinking skills.
