Regional Sales Director – West Coast Rail Europe, Inc. Rail Europe sells more than 50 European train companies and is a one-stop shop for travel planning and booking.  The leading distributor of European rail products, Rail Europe offers a wide range of rail passes, train tickets and sightseeing activities. An essential part of the vacation planning process, the company's website offers a user-friendly booking engine, online rail pass finder, virtual tours, interactive maps and expert online Live Chat services and much more.  Rail Europe provides a cost and time-effective seamless travel experience by enabling travelers to plan and book their European travel details in advance and with ease.   We are currently seeking a creative, enthusiastic, dynamic individual to become our new Regional Sales Director – West Coast. Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, North America, the professional we select for this important role will represent the company in the Western market of the United States. This individual will be accountable for partnering with retail travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs and national consortia to develop and grow individual and group sales. The ideal candidate will be located in California, due to the size and geographical location and revenue importance. Candidates from other cities on the West Coast will be given some consideration. Responsibilities   Developing joint marketing plans with key accounts. Identifying and developing new business in alignment with corporate strategy. Developing territorial relationships with key industry partners. Creating and implementing an annual business-development plan. Managing area revenues and market statistics, as well as travel and promotional budgets. Participating in special initiatives as assigned by the Senior Director of Sales.   Required Credentials   Five or more years of field sales experience, preferably in the travel industry, within the U.S., including the development of new business. Bachelor’s degree The responsibility, detail orientation, and self-motivation/discipline to manage time effectively and work efficiently within a home-office setting. Outstanding public-speaking and written/verbal communication skills. Spanish is a plus. Ability to create and perform customized presentations with a customer focus. Ability to develop and maintain longstanding relationships with travel partners. Ownership of a car, current driver’s license and passport. Regional travel within assigned territory will be approximately 65%. Only local candidates will be considered.
